If you are looking for exotic locations, miles upon miles
of sand beaches, plus and unbelievable rain forest and
mountains, come to Puerto Rico!
This is a modern, progressive and active vacation spot
with the charm and hospitality of the Caribbean.
I had the opportunity to complete my second
certification as  Puerto Rico Expert in September, 2005.
Here are some of my favorite resorts and destinations
to visit, on this beautiful island.
Old San Juan
Over 500 years old, Old San Juan
was originally conceived as a
military stronghold.  This
7-square block walled city has
evolved into a charming
residential and commercial
district.  Beautiful Old San Juan
has been designated a
world-class historic site by the
United Nations.  The streets are
paved with blue cobblestones
that were brought over as ballast
on Spanish ships.  Time and
moisture have lent them their
characteristic color.  I highly
recommend a walking tour of Old
San Juan.  As part of your tour,
visit at least one of the main
historic forts:  El Morro or San
Cristobal
The Caribe Hilton is ideally located on a
private peninsula between historic Old San
Juan and the exciting Condado area, just 15
minutes from the airport, central to the
business district and shopping.
Since there are no private beaches in Puerto
Rico, the Caribe Hilton is unique in the sense
the built their own beach.  They offer the
only secluded beach on the entire island.
They have 6 restaurants onsite with room
service from 6am-11pm.  The pool areas are
a huge draw for kids of ALL ages!  The main
pool is heated with jacuzzi jets.
Located in the heart of Old San Juan, Hotel El
Convento has set new standards of luxury,
comfort and service while preserving the rich
character of this former 16th century convent.

The passage of time has enhanced the grace
and elegance of this landmark treasure.
Today, still the embodiment of old world
charm and splendor, Hotel El Convento offers
a welcoming atmosphere of sophistication
wthout pretension, providing all guests with
style and traditional hospitality.
Hotel El Convento is bustling with style
offering fine dining and nightly live
entertainment.  The Garden Terrace, where
complimentary wine and cheese are served
daily for guests of the hotel, is a perfect
prelude to a fine dining experience at one the
great restaurants.  This hotel made Conde`
