Xel-Ha

Xel-Ha is located approximately one hour south of Cancun. This natural
park boasts an incredible natural aquarium where the ocean combines with
the freshwater currents of the springs and underground rivers, forming an
incomparable ecosystem with a number of small islands and a constant
stream of bubbles that surge from the river floor.
One of the most popular activities at the park is the river float where you
can float past mangroves and jungle lined cliffs in a comfortable inner tube.

The story is that the Mayan Gods gave Xel-Ha to mortals. Guarded by the
symbols for Parrot Fish and Iguana representing wisdom, illusion and love
are the historical elements representing the Park’s natural beauty and its
role as a cultural and religious center.

Swim, snorkel and dive the clear waters in the park – then take a welcome
rest in the warm sun on Hammock Island. It is designed for one thing, to
relax and sun under the Caribbean sky. Enjoy comfortable hammocks
while you recharge before you plunge back in the river’s cool water.
